All information about your person such as your title, first and last name, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, IP address, etc. are designated as personal data. We would like to give you information about when we collect what personal data from you and how we use that data.

We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that we and our external service providers respect the regulations regarding data protection. Your data are protected within the legal framework of the German Federal Data Protection Act.

We collect, store, and use your personal data in order to give you access to certain information and communicate with you.

If you have questions or concerns about data protection, please contact us by e-mail at datenschutz@heimerle-meule.com or by mail by writing to our data protection officer, Heimerle + Meule GmbH, Dennigstrasse 16, 75179 Pforzheim, Germany.

In the following, you will find information about what data we collect during your visit to our home page and how we use that data.

Collecting and processing of data

By transmitting your personal data to us, you give your consent for us to collect, process, and use your data in accordance with this privacy policy. This occurs in the following possible ways:

Website access

A record is made of each time you access our home page and every time you download a file stored on our home page. The storage serves internal systems-related purposes. A record is made of so-called traffic data and kept for ten weeks: date and time of the download, URL accessed, protocol used for the access (for example, http/1.1), origin – meaning the page from which the access originates (for example, Google) – and data volume transferred. For security reasons, a record is also made of the IP address. These records are accessed only in the case of security breaches in order to support a criminal investigation; the data are likewise stored for ten weeks. We do not generate user profiles based on your personal data!

What personal data of yours may be stored?

In the following, we describe when you can directly provide us with personal data. Providing us with this information is voluntary but necessary for us to respond to your requests or carry out services.

Contact form

If you contact us via our website www.hm-pm.com, we collect various personal data of yours through our contact form. Fields that are required for us to reasonably process the minimum amount of necessary data from you are first and last name, street address, zip code and city, country, and your e-mail address, as well as the actual message. Providing information about your title, request, company, and telephone number is voluntary. With the data you provide, an unencrypted e-mail is generated by an application using a cache, which you transmit to us by sending the e-mail. The cached information is retained for ten weeks.

We would like to point out that this e-mail is unencrypted. Please therefore make sure that you do not send any confidential data or information by e-mail.

Cookies

Our web pages use so-called cookies in multiple places. Cookies serve to make our offerings more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files saved on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Cookies cause no harm to your computer and contain no viruses.

Use of web analysis programs

On our web pages, we use so-called web analysis programs in order to analyze how our pages are being used. To do so, we use Google Analytics with www.hm-pm.com and Piwik with our configurator for atelier products at www.hm-pm.com. In the following, you will receive the information necessary to exercise your privacy rights.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer to allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie pertaining to your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a server operated by Google located within the United States. If IP anonymization has been activated on this website, Google will, however, first truncate your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other contract states to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is your full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google uses this information on behalf of the website operator to evaluate your use of the website, compile website activity reports, and provide further services associated with the use of both the website in particular and the Internet in general to the website operator. The IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not linked to other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored on your device by using the respective setting in your browser software; we would like to explicitly state, however, that you may not be able to completely use all of this website’s features if you deactivate cookies. You can further prevent the data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in provided at the following link: (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

You will find further information about data protection and terms of use at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to guarantee the anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Use of social media plug-ins

On our website, we use social plug-ins offered by Facebook, YouTube, and Xing. The following contains respective explanations for these plug-ins:

Use of Facebook plug-ins

Our web pages use social media plug-ins (“plug-ins”) offered by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, United States of America (“Facebook”). These plug-ins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Facebook Social Plug-In.” You can find an overview of the Facebook plug-ins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

If you access one of our web pages containing such a plug-in, your browser opens a direct connection to the servers of Facebook and transmits your IP address, among other things. Facebook directly transmits the content of the plug-in to your browser, which integrates it into the web page.

The integration of the plug-in provides Facebook with the information that you have accessed the respective page of our website. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can attribute the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example, by clicking the “like” button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly by your browser to Facebook, where it is stored.

We note that as the provider of these pages we receive no information from Facebook about the content of the data that is transmitted or its use by Facebook. You will find more information about this in Facebook’s privacy policy at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not want Facebook to collect data about you from our web pages, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our web pages. You can prevent your IP address from being transmitted by not accessing our web pages.

Xing plug-in

This website contains programs (plug-ins) from the social network xing.com. These are operated by New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg, Deutschland. These plug-ins are marked on our website by the Xing logo. When you visit our website, which contains this kind of plug-in, your browser opens a direct connection to the servers of Xing, which then transmit the content of the plug-in to your browser, where it is integrated into the website being displayed. This notifies Xing that you have visited our website. If you are logged in to your personal account on Xing during your visit to our website, Xing can attribute this visit to our website to your account. Interacting with the plug-ins, by clicking the “Xing” button, for example, results in your browser transmitting the corresponding information directly to Xing, where it is stored.

You will find further information about the purpose and scope of the data collection and processing by Xing as well as your rights in this regard and settings options you may choose in order to protect your privacy in Xing’s privacy policy: https://www.xing.com/app/user?op=tandc&what=dp#

If you do not want Xing to collect data about you from our web pages, you must log out of Xing before visiting our web pages. You can prevent your IP address from being transmitted by not accessing our web pages.

YouTube plug-in

On our website, we use the video platform YouTube operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, United States of America (“YouTube”). YouTube is a platform that makes it possible to play audio and video files. If you access a page from our website, the YouTube player integrated into the website opens a connection to YouTube in order to ensure the technical transmission of the video or audio file. In establishing the connection to YouTube, data are transmitted to YouTube. We note that we receive no information from YouTube about the content of the data that is transmitted or its use by YouTube. Please visit YouTube’s web pages to learn about how YouTube treats your data as well as your rights in this regard and settings options you may choose to protect your privacy.

Use and disclosure of personal data

If you have given us personal data, we use that data solely to respond to your requests, for technical administration, and, if you have given us your consent, for marketing. Your personal data are disclosed to third parties or otherwise transferred only if this is necessary for purposes of performing a contract (in particular, the disclosure of order information to a supplier), if it is necessary for billing purposes, if we are legally required to do so, or if you have previously given us your consent.

You have the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

The stored personal data are deleted if you withdraw your consent to their storage, when they are no longer necessary to complete the purpose for which they are being stored – meaning when the activity is completed and no legal deletion deadlines require otherwise – or if the storage is prohibited for other legal reasons. If the data cannot be deleted, they will be made unavailable for further processing until legal deletion deadlines expire.

Links to other web pages

On May 12, 1998, the regional court of Hamburg – reference number: 312 O 85/98 – decided that a company/person takes ownership of the content of a website from a third party by setting a link to that site unless the company/person clearly distances themselves from this linked content. For this reason, Heimerle + Meule hereby explicitly distances itself from the content of all linked websites. Heimerle + Meule has no influence whatsoever on the content of the linked pages and thus assumes no liability for their timeliness, accuracy, completeness, quality, and future design. The operator of linked websites is exclusively responsible for their contents.

Please take note of the respective privacy policies of the third parties linked on our web pages. This present privacy policy is valid exclusively for the website of Heimerle + Meule GmbH.

Right to informational self-determination

You have the right to know what data of yours we are storing (right of access) and to have incorrect data deleted or made unavailable. Upon written request, we are happy to give you information about the personal data concerning you that we have stored. To fulfill this request, we will provide you with the corresponding documents in an appropriate form. Please understand that we must naturally also identify you as the recipient in order to protect your personal data.

Security notices

We strive to use all technical and organizational opportunities to store your personal data in a way that prevents them from being accessed by third parties. If you communicate with us via an unencrypted e-mail, we cannot guarantee complete data security, which is why we suggest that you contact us by mail in the case of confidential information.
